Save The Date!
Posted by

Save the Date cards are announcements that inform your guests of your future wedding in order to keep your special day free. They are essential in the follow situations: if many of your guests are traveling to your wedding, your wedding takes place on or around a holiday, you are planning a destination wedding, or your wedding will take place in a seasonally busy or tourist locale, where flights and hotels book up early.
Save the Dates are generally sent at least 4-6 months prior to your wedding and are not meant to be formal. There are many design options available. You can have them match your wedding invitations, magnets, brochure style, post card size, multiple layers, or booklet style.
The following Save the Date cards were designed by Birmingham's own Sonia Davis for one of our May brides. Kerra, a student at Samford University, is getting married over Memorial Day weekend, so these Save the Dates are perfect to send to her out of town guests.

I'm Engaged! Now What?

Over the past several days, we were able to visit with so many of you recently engaged. Congratulations! I'm so excited, but I know you stop and ask yourself, "Where do I even begin?" I've listed 5 of my favorite tips on getting started off on the right foot when it comes to planning your wedding. Take my advice below and let the planning begin!
1. Hire a planner
This is my best tip of the week. Have you even thought about hiring a planner? Planners don't have to run the show, they just guide you throughout the process to prevent mistakes. Can't afford a planner? How do you know? Believe me, it's worth the time to investigate whether a planner is right for you. Great planners can save you tons of money and time. Plus they can help you find the best vendors for your DREAM TEAM to make sure you have a flawless day PLUS keep your sanity!
